Pipe Prop

Pipe Prop Specifications

Pipe Prop is made of tough, durable ASA plastic, made to withstand the most challenging weather conditions. With installations more than 10 years old, Pipe Prop has exhibited no loss of structural integrity or capability in a variety of weather conditions.

ASA is produced by introducing a grafted acrylic ester elastomer during the copolymerization reaction between styrene and acrylonitrile. Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate material has great toughness and rigidity, good chemical resistance and thermal stability, outstanding resistance to weather, aging and yellowing, and high gloss.—www.ides.com The Plastics Web®

At a 3½-inch height, Pipe Prop withstands loads ranging from 8,192 pounds at 0°F to 5,035 pounds at 140°F. It will not buckle, shatter or deteriorate in the harshest weather.

The base measures 8" in diameter. The saddle is available in two sizes:

  • Model APS-1 accommodates up to 1½" pipe.
  • Model APS-2 accommodates from 1½” to 2½" pipe.

We recommend using ¾" schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit for the shaft of the unit because of its sunlight resistant characteristics.

Light weight! Each unit only weights 0.5 lbs.
